Margaret Faliano (she/her) is a citizen of the Chippewa Cree Nation of Montana that grew up an urban Native in the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from the University of Oregon Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Business Administration, B.S. in International Studies, Certificate in Global Business, and minors in Spanish & Psychology. Margaret is currently the Director of Education & Development for Creator’s Favorite LLC, an Indigenous-led talent network elevating Native voices in fashion, media, & entertainment.
Margaret is the former Associate Director of Advocacy & Engagement of the sunsetted nonprofit, IllumiNative: a Native, women-led nonprofit that builds power for Indian Country by uplifting contemporary Native voices, stories, and movements on a national scale. Across her four years of tenure at this 501(c)3, Margaret led numerous narrative change, strategy trainings, and a quarter-million-dollar grant making program to advance the equity and self-determination of Native peoples and various BIPOC groups.
Aside from her established career as an Associate Director, trainer, and public speaker, Margaret is a passionate model, singer, and writer with a creative eye for design. She is an avid explorer and advocate of travel to hone in one’s cultural competency and understanding of the world. As an urban Native, Margaret has always yearned to see accurate and contemporary Indigenous representation in society, especially in politics, media, and fashion.
